The Ambassador Walnut Tree is a cold-hardy Carpathian hybrid, well-suited for severe climates. Originally introduced from Poland in the 1930s, it was later cultivated in Idaho. This variety produces 1 1/4-inch nuts with thin, well-sealed shells and plump, light-colored kernels renowned for their excellent flavor.
Young trees are known for setting heavy crops, and the tree is self-fruitful, requiring no additional pollinator.
