Adult Delphastus prefer to dine on the eggs and larvae of whitefly consuming several hundred per day, but will also dine on spider mites. Their light yellow/green larvae also enjoy whitefly eggs consuming 100-200 eggs a day. Unlike their female counterparts which are entirely black, male Delphastus have a brown head. The female Delphastus beetle will lay multiple clusters of 8-12 clear eggs.
