A wonderful dessert apple with a nice, crisp blend of sweetness and tartness and a rich flavor. Skin is stripped or mottled reddish orange over yellow.

Early harvest, 2 - 3 weeks before Red Delicious. Self-fruitful and a good pollinizer for other varieties. Originating from New Zealand and adapted to cold- and warm-winter climates.
